COBID Experience
We pride ourselves on collaboration with GCs, Owners and Government Agencies to foster successful COBID participation and mentorship. This is in our DNA. As a COBID firm ourselves, we put a high priority on our mutual success. We understand this contributes to the health and success of our community, as well as the economy as a whole. It is part of our mission, and supports social justice and the greater good.
We include certified COBID firms on our teams whenever possible.
We are a member of OAME (Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs), where we network and do outreach to small, women-owned, and minority-owned firms for subcontractor services.
Angela Watkins participates in Metropolitan Alliance for Workforce Equity (MAWE) and Portland Business Development Group (PBDG).
We collaborate with and utilize subcontractor services from PBDG, OAME and other local trade organizations for construction and professional services focused on COBID certified firms and small businesses.
We maintain good relationships with labor unions.
Angela Watkins has mentored and assisted women, small business and subcontractors in enhancing their business skills, including networking, performing administrative tasks, honing the skills of their trade, writing business correspondence, accurate estimating, how to invoice and use pay applications, and generally how to run a successful small business in the construction industry.
We keep careful track of COBID participation on our projects and can generate reports for distribution to relevant parties upon request, including the name of the COBID firm, certification number, scope and award amounts
